Bless you my children -- about the grandfather paradox. I have a theory that this doesn't exist. If one is available to travel to the past, then any actions one takes in the past, or any accidents that occur, cannot cause the future to be any different. Whatever happened to one whilst travelling in the past, has already had its effect in the the future -- the 'present' that one leaves from is the result of one's being in the past. This doesn't exactly mean whatever one does in the past is pre-ordained; one still has freedom of action, a because something would intervene (or she might not fancy you anyway).
This is because the past is always the past; the present is a result of that past. Whatever happened in the past has already happened, even one's visit from the present.
For example, if one won a raffle for a prize trip to view the Battle of Agincourt and one took the cash (for the mortgage) the present is the result of not going. If one went, then the present is a result of going.
It's a well known fact that in 1942 MI5 sent agent 004 back to 1936 Germany to assassinate Adolf Hitler -- he returned safely but failed in his mission (landed in the wrong place, I believe).
God be with you.

Hi this is Adam and I have ben researchings timetravel for a long time. even reaserching how to build a machine that my or my not work, this would be the rough sketch blueprint I have done up at home. It is basically a crystal chamber that one could go in side and ride in, which is held by fore elictric magents. one of the magnets are on top of the crystal chamber and one on the bottem holding the chamber in place suspended in air the other two magnets work like a electric moter which spins the device clockwise or counterclockwise, clockwise for futcher or counterclockwise for past. And the hole device would be in a air tight vacume.
